About The Author

Terry R. Yormark II

Thanks to his Mother, a former high school English teacher, Terry R. Yormark II has been writing since early childhood. His Mother’s relentless editing and critical eye for grammatical perfection molded Terry’s inherited writing talents into his own style of writing and love for the art.

While writing in the past for his school newspaper, local Chicagoland newspapers with a “Real Estate Matters” column, reported on college football games for ESPN Gameday Radio and authored “The Love Sherpa” column for the Chicago Tribune, writing is surprisingly not his full-time occupation, but a hobby.

Instead of an “author”, Terry describes himself as an addicted entrepreneur and makes his living brokering commercial real estate deals and investing in real estate, start-ups, and other businesses.

With his first published book, “A Snowflake Kiss”, Terry’s greatest wish is the book will bring as much joy to Reader’s families as it has his own.

About the Illustrator

Peggy Carstensen

Peggy is an Artist, Art Therapist and Licensed Counselor.  She has been creating art since before she could talk, and thanks to Terry was given the opportunity to complete her first official illustration job.

Peggy was introduced to the magic of art watching her grandfather paint in his breezeway studio as a young girl.  While working on A Snowflake Kiss, she also thought frequently about her favorite illustrator, Joe VanSeveren, whose ability to bring stories to life has always been a source of inspiration.

This sweet wintertime story, written after the birth of Terry's newborn son, will forever be a reminder for Peggy and her husband Tim of late nights she spent painting while their own little snowflake grew.

Her hope is that readers will feel the flurry of excitement each unique snowflake brings a child.
